Speaking during one of his TikTok Live sessions, where he often shares unfiltered opinions about Uganda’s entertainment scene, A Pass claimed that some of the biggest fanbases in the country belong to artists who, in his view, are not necessarily strong vocalists.

According to him, musical ability does not always determine success.

You see a musician who can’t sing have an audience and they are the majority in Uganda. Me I’m being honest with you, most people here can’t sing but trust me they have audiences because remember you are as good as the audience is,” he said.

The singer explained that every artist has a specific audience that connects with them, regardless of technical skill. He emphasized that music is less about vocal perfection and more about relatability and connection.

There’s an audience out there for everyone,” he noted, adding that fans naturally gravitate toward artists they identify with.

To drive his point home, A Pass compared the connection between artists and fans to radio frequencies. He said people tend to align with the “frequency” that matches their vibe and energy.

It is all about that connection so if they are ok that frequency where you are on 9 and they are also on 9, you’re going to be fit for each other. But if you find people on 6 and you’re on 4, you’ll feel it,” he explained.
