Singer Ameria Nambala has stepped forward to contribute UGX 5 million towards the release of Promoter Biggie, who was recently remanded to Luzira Prison over an unpaid debt of UGX 70 million.

Promoter Biggie, a popular figure in Uganda’s entertainment circles, was directed by court to either clear the entire amount or serve six months in jail.
Following her detention, several public figures have expressed willingness to help, including singer Spice Diana, who also pledged her support to the fundraising efforts.
In an interview, Ameria revealed that she has never met Biggie personally, nor does she consider her a friend, but felt compelled to help because she is a fellow woman facing a difficult situation.
“I don’t know her personally, but as a woman, I understand how tough it can be. If my small contribution can make a difference, then I’m happy to do it,” Ameria said.
