Singer Ava Peace has cleared the air about who truly inspired her music journey, revealing that her biggest influence has always been Winnie Nwagi, not Sheebah Karungi as many people believe.
The fast-rising star has often been compared to Sheebah, with fans suggesting she was molded to challenge the Sheebah especially since she’s managed by Sheebah’s former manager.
However, Ava insists there’s no truth to that narrative.
“People keep saying I’m like Sheebah, but my inspiration has always been Winnie Nwagi,” Ava stated, adding that she respects Sheebah but follows her own path.
Ava also dismissed rumors of any bad blood between her and Sheebah, saying the tension seen online is mostly created by fans.
She believes every artist should be appreciated individually instead of being pitted against each other.
Despite the comparisons, Ava Peace continues to grow her brand steadily.
