Singer Big Eye Starboss has weighed in on the ongoing exchange between Eddy Kenzo and fellow musician Bebe Cool, urging the BET Award winner to redirect his energy toward more meaningful pursuits.
Big Eye was reacting to recent remarks by Eddy Kenzo, in which the internationally acclaimed artist accused Bebe Cool of ridiculing him over a long period of time.
However, Big Eye questioned why Kenzo would allow himself to be drawn into arguments over what he described as minor issues.
According to Big Eye, Kenzo should understand that success does not guarantee universal approval. He expressed surprise that Kenzo would publicly argue over a list allegedly made by Bebe Cool, especially given the milestones Kenzo has achieved in his career.
“If you look at the thing that’s making Kenzo argue, it surprises me. Why is he arguing over a list Bebe Cool made? He has to know he can’t get everything. I heard he was nominated for the Grammys and now you come back to the Bebe Cool list and argue over that?” Big Eye remarked.
Big Eye further advised Eddy Kenzo to concentrate on his achievements and avoid responding to every criticism or negative comment directed at him. In his view, constantly engaging in such disputes only diminishes the value of the success Kenzo has worked hard to attain.
He also pointed out that reacting to such lists only amplifies their relevance, suggesting that the attention benefits the person who created them.
“If I was Bebe Cool and I see that these artists argue about my lists, I would just celebrate because it means they are giving it attention,” Big Eye added.
