Veteran dancehall artiste and former Firebase Vice President, Buchaman, has opened up about his wish to reconcile with his longtime friend and former boss, Robert Kyagulanyi Ssentamu, popularly known as Bobi Wine.
The two share a deep history, having worked together for over a decade under Firebase Crew before Buchaman left to pursue a solo career. However, the singer admits that his music journey after leaving the group has not been as successful as he had hoped.
Speaking in a recent interview, Buchaman confessed that life has not been easy since parting ways with Bobi Wine, despite his position as Presidential Advisor on Ghetto Matters.
“I have no problem with Kyagulanyi Ssentamu, and if he calls me to join him, I can go. Right now, all the people I left in Firebase are doing better than me, but me who’s in NRM, I’m suffering — so yes, I regret leaving Bobi Wine,” he said.
Buchaman went on to reveal that the government has ignored his calls for support, leaving him struggling to make ends meet.
He added that he now hopes to reunite with Bobi Wine, believing that working together again could help uplift the ghetto community.
