Musician and presidential adviser Buchaman has expressed deep concern over the safety of his longtime friend and National Unity Platform (NUP) president, Robert Kyagulanyi Ssentamu, popularly known as Bobi Wine, amid reports that the opposition leader has gone underground.
Speaking about the situation, Buchaman said Bobi Wine’s continued low-profile lifestyle has left many supporters worried, noting that although the politician is occasionally seen, his exact whereabouts remain unknown.
Buchaman warned that Bobi Wine appears to be employing what he described as a “Rabadoba” style of movement, a strategy he believes could place the opposition leader in serious danger.
“The situation right now is that Bobi Wine is missing. People see him, but they don’t know where he is exactly. He should quit the ‘rabadoba’ style he’s using. Come out, people want to see you,” Buchaman said.
He further stressed that Bobi Wine’s current political standing requires enhanced and organized security, arguing that moving discreetly without adequate protection exposes him, his family, and close associates to potential harm.
“At the level he is at now, he needs proper security to be protected. If he continues living like this, he could mistakenly lose his life in the midst of a crossfire, yet he is a national asset,” he added.
