Today, Wednesday, December 10, 2025, singer Carol Nantongo and her fiancé Dylan held a joyful Kukyala ceremony attended by friends, family, and notable guests.
The event took place at Carol’s parental home, marking an important step in Buganda culture.
A Kukyala is the maiden visit the groom makes to the bride’s home before the traditional engagement ceremony. It formally introduces the groom’s family and strengthens the bond between both sides.
Carol Nantongo and Dylan went public with their relationship in November when Dylan proposed to the singer in a heartfelt moment that quickly went viral on social media.
Since then, celebrations and warm wishes have continued to pour in.
It is also believed that their wedding may follow soon, given the pace of their preparations and the strong support surrounding the couple.
Dylan, who is the son of legendary musician Mesach Semakula, shares a long-standing connection with Carol.
Semakula played a key role in mentoring and grooming Carol when she joined his band, The Golden Band, making this union even more meaningful to those who have followed her musical journey.
