CBS FM has officially addressed the circulating rumours surrounding the absence of one of its longest-serving presenters, Meddie Nsereko Ssebuliba.

For the past week, speculation had been rife that the veteran journalist, well-known for hosting political talk shows on the Bulange-based radio station, had been abruptly dismissed.
The rumours were further intensified by claims that Nsereko had fled the country and relocated to the United Kingdom.
However, in a statement released by the station’s management addressed to “The Listeners, Fan Base of CBS FM, & The General Public,” CBS clarified that Nsereko had not been fired but had instead taken official medical leave.
According to the management, the respected broadcaster “formally applied for, and was successfully granted, medical leave to receive specialised treatment abroad.”
The statement further assured the public that the station continues to monitor Nsereko’s condition closely and remains hopeful for his recovery.
“CBS management is constantly monitoring Mr. Meddie Nsereko Ssebuliba’s situation and wishes him a speedy recovery and safe travels back home to continue serving CBS and the Kingdom at large,” the statement read.
