Singer Cindy Sanyu has firmly shut down any possibility of a second music battle with fellow star Sheebah Karungi, saying she has no intention of repeating what she describes as an embarrassing experience for Sheebah.
Cindy, who faced off with Sheebah in the highly publicized 2023 music battle, said the first showdown was a fair musical challenge — but a second one would be unnecessary and unfair.
“I don’t want to battle again, and if there’s a promoter thinking about it, that should be forgotten. I can’t do it ever again. I can’t do it with the same person,” she stated.
According to Cindy, while the initial battle was enjoyable and thrilling on her part, she later reflected on its impact. She admits she wouldn’t want to humiliate another woman the way she believes Sheebah was embarrassed that evening.
“The experience was amazing for me, but I thought about it after and asked myself — what if it was me who got embarrassed in front of the whole country? I wouldn’t want to repeat that for any other woman,” Cindy said.
She emphasized that reviving the battle narrative would serve no purpose and insisted that the 2023 duel should remain a closed chapter.
Her comments come at a time when some promoters and fans have been speculating about a possible rematch, but Cindy has made it clear she is done with music battles — especially with Sheebah.
