Ugandan musician Dr. Propa has strongly rubbished long-standing claims that he abuses drugs, insisting that he does not use any illegal substances.

Speaking out on the matter, Dr. Propa clarified that the only drugs he takes are those prescribed by medical professionals in hospital, dismissing rumours that link him to marijuana or other substances.
“I don’t use drugs. The only drugs I use are those approved in the hospital. I was born high because music lives in me,” Dr. Propa said, attributing his high energy and unusual stage presence to his deep passion for music rather than drug use.
The artiste also opened up about his recent performances at National Resistance Movement (NRM) rallies, revealing that he was not paid for appearing at the events.
However, he noted that his involvement was based on belief in recognition, adding that appreciation of his contribution could translate into compensation in the future.
Dr. Propa maintained that his focus remains on music and performance, and urged the public to separate his artistic expression from unfounded allegations about his personal life.
