Internationally acclaimed musician Eddy Kenzo has shared a lesser-known chapter of his life, revealing that he is currently enrolled at a university after returning to school through adult education.
Kenzo, who grew up on the streets of Kampala, acknowledged that his early years did not allow him to attain a proper academic foundation.
He revealed that he moved through school without completing key stages or obtaining certificates, something he now views differently as he matures.
Addressing rumors that his studies were politically motivated, Kenzo firmly dismissed the claims.
“I am not preparing for politics at all,” he explained. “People shouldn’t expect that from me. I went back to school, did mature entry, passed, and I’m now at university.”
The “Sitya Loss” hitmaker said his decision to return to school was inspired by his role as a father and entrepreneur. He wants his children to understand the value of education and also ensure that he is mentally prepared for life after the spotlight.
Kenzo added that while music remains his passion, he understands that performing on stage cannot last forever. Education, he believes, is part of his transition into a new phase of life focused on leadership, mentorship, and business growth.
Asked about the course he is pursuing, Kenzo chose to keep the details private, insisting that the key takeaway is the journey itself.
