Singer Eddy Kenzo has sparked fresh speculation that he and State Minister in charge of Minerals, Phiona Nyamutoro, could be expecting another child together after his latest remarks to journalists.
The rumours gained momentum after Nyamutoro appeared in a recent video looking visibly heavier, with netizens quick to point out what many described as a bulging tummy.
Her noticeable absence from recent NRM campaign activities further fueled talk online that she might be pregnant.
When asked to address the speculation yesterday, Kenzo stopped short of issuing a direct confirmation. However, his response did little to calm the rumours. The BET Award-winning artist thanked God for what people were saying, a statement many interpreted as an indirect admission that there could be truth to the claims.
Adding a political twist to his response, Kenzo jokingly remarked that, just like President Yoweri Museveni whom they support, they are also “protecting the gains.” The comment was widely taken as a playful hint toward expanding their family.
Kenzo and Nyamutoro already share a child together, though they have deliberately kept the child away from the public eye, choosing privacy over publicity when it comes to their family life.
For now, neither Kenzo nor Nyamutoro has officially confirmed the pregnancy, but Kenzo’s carefully worded remarks have only strengthened public belief that another baby could be on the way.
