Ugandan music star Eddy Kenzo has once again made the nation proud after earning a nomination at the 2026 Grammy Awards.

The celebrated artist received a nod in the Best African Music Performance category for his collaboration with instrumentalist Mehran Matin on the uplifting track “Hope and Love.”
This milestone marks Kenzo’s second Grammy nomination, following his first in 2024 for the song “Gimme Love” with Matt B.
His latest recognition solidifies his position as one of Africa’s most globally recognized artists and a consistent force in promoting Ugandan talent on the world stage.
Kenzo will face stiff competition from Africa’s finest, including Burna Boy with “Love,” Davido featuring Omah Lay with “With You,” Wizkid featuring Ayra Starr with “Gimme Dat,” and South African sensation Tyla with “Push 2 Start.”
The Grammy Awards ceremony is set to take place on February 1, 2026, celebrating the world’s best musical acts. Kenzo’s nomination has already sparked excitement across Uganda, with fans rallying behind him in hopes of bringing the golden trophy home.
