Fred, the son of the late Ugandan singer Evelyn Lagu, has shared his emotional journey since losing his mother.
Evelyn Lagu passed away on September 18, 2023, after a long battle with chronic kidney and heart complications.
Following her death, Fred experienced a challenging period marked by depression and drug addiction.
He revealed that his father and brother checked him into a rehabilitation center to help him cope.
Fred says he is now in a better and more stable state compared to his earlier struggles.
However, he also disclosed that he has a mental health condition that requires him to rely on medically prescribed medication.
The passing of Evelyn Lagu, a beloved figure in Uganda’s music industry, left a significant void in her family and among her fans.
Her son’s journey toward healing reflects the enduring impact of her loss and the support of his loved ones.
