Singer Fille Mutoni has shared a deeply personal reflection on the hidden struggles of fame, revealing that despite having millions of followers, many celebrities live lonely lives with no real friends to talk to.

Speaking candidly, Fille said public figures often confuse fame with friendship, yet behind the scenes, they lack genuine emotional support. According to her, the cheers from fans on stage do not translate into meaningful relationships off stage.
“We have millions and millions of followers and zero friends,” Fille said. “All these fans cheering us while we perform are many, but we do not have that one friend who will call just to check on us, to see how we slept.”
She added that outside of parents, celebrities rarely have people who truly care about their wellbeing. Fille noted that even family members sometimes view them as financial providers rather than individuals with emotional needs.
“If it’s not your mother or father, no one will check on you. We lack that person to discuss our inner issues with. Even family members look at us as money machines. No one will take you out for a coffee to have a sensible chat and narrate how life is treating us,” she explained.
Fille also revealed major lifestyle changes she has made to protect her mental health and sobriety. She disclosed that she no longer owns or uses a smartphone, a deliberate decision aimed at avoiding triggers that could lead her back to drug use.
Currently living with her baby daddy, media personality MC Kats, Fille said she has become extremely cautious about what she consumes, both online and offline.
“I don’t even watch documentaries that show drugs or cigarettes. Those small things can trigger cravings and wake up the lion in me, and that’s something I work hard to avoid,” she said.
