Media personality Fredrick Lugonvu Ssentongo has opened up about his exit from BBS Terefayina, revealing the reasons behind his dismissal after three years at the Mengo-Bulange–based station.

Lugonvu, who joined BBS from Salt TV, says he felt underutilized at his new workplace despite his growing influence and experience.
“The Lugonvu of BBS had acquired some money and I had started knowing what I want. I had made my name so I didn’t have much to prove, so I stopped looking at BBS alone and also focused on my personal projects,” he explained.
He added that while working at BBS, he was juggling multiple responsibilities — serving as a presenter at the station while also running his own school as a director. According to him, this divided focus affected his performance.
“I would come in as any other employee at BBS, but also as a director of my own school, employing people. I failed to give my best on TV, and my bosses noticed,” Lugonvu admitted.
Interestingly, Lugonvu revealed that throughout his time at BBS, he never used his salary but chose to leave it in the workers’ SACCO.
