Singer Geosteady has finally spoken out about his six-month absence from the music scene, revealing that the break was purely for his mental health and not due to substance abuse as widely rumored.

The “Owooma” hitmaker made his first public appearance on Wednesday night at Comedy Store, where he addressed the speculations that had been circulating about his time away. Reports had suggested that the singer had checked into rehab to recover from drug-related issues.
However, Geosteady clarified that he took the break to rejuvenate mentally after years of working without rest.
“I have been helped by my Mzee, Humphrey Nabimanya, my sister, my wife, and many of my friends. It was my mental health (why I went to rehab). Men break down most times and the public doesn’t get to realize, so when you feel overwhelmed it’s important you take a break away from the public and work on yourself,” he explained.
He further emphasized that rehab is not only for the sick but also for anyone seeking peace and self-realignment.
“I have worked for so many years without having a break, so sometimes it’s important to take that time off,” he added.
