Nigerian rapper Ice Prince has showered praise on Ugandan artists, recognising both the legends and the new generation carrying the country’s music forward.

Speaking during a radio interview, the Oleku hitmaker revealed that Ugandan rapper Navio is one of his oldest friends in the industry. He also paid heartfelt tribute to the late Mowzey Radio, describing him as a very close friend.
“Big shout outs to all the artists here. Big respect to my guys Radio and Weasel. RIP to my very good friend Radio. Joshua Baraka as well—he’s someone I’m really excited about, his career and his music. I had a chance to make music with him recently so big up,” Ice Prince said.
The award-winning rapper also highlighted Joshua Baraka, one of Uganda’s fastest-rising stars, saying he is impressed by his talent and creativity.
Ice Prince revealed that he recently worked on music with Baraka and expressed excitement about his future.
His connection with Ugandan music runs deep. When he won the BET Award in 2013, Ice Prince famously invited Radio and Weasel to join him on stage—a gesture that cemented his bond with the duo and Uganda’s music industry at large.
