Ugandan singer Jose Chameleone has undergone eye surgery after facing a serious threat to his eyesight.
On Tuesday, 17 February 2026, the celebrated artist shared the news through his social media platforms.
He posted a photo showing his plastered eye and revealed that he was at risk of losing his sight in his right eye if he had not gone for the surgery.
In his message, the singer expressed gratitude to God and the medical team that handled his treatment.
He specifically thanked Ludovica Tindebwa Fadr and the team at Kampala Eye Laser & Lasik Centre for their professional care and hospitality.
“I thank you Lord for another great morning!! I thank Dr Ludovica Tindebwa Fadr and the entire Kampala Eye Lasik Hospital team for my eye surgery and your hospitality. I was rapidly losing my sight on my right eye. I seek your healing as always, my Lord,” reads Jose Chameleone’s post.
The singer’s revelation has since drawn support and well wishes from fans and fellow artists, many praying for his quick and full recovery.
Jose Chameleone remains one of Uganda’s most respected musicians, and his health update has reassured supporters who were concerned about his condition.
