Ugandan dancehall star King Michael has revealed that he is preparing for a major milestone in his family as he gets ready to give away his daughter in marriage this year.
While speaking to Spark TV, the veteran musician shared his excitement and pride, noting that he will officially see off his daughter to her suitor in May.
“I will first give away my daughter on 23rd May and the wedding will be in Entebbe. The kwanjula is here in Busabala on 13th, so I will also do mine after that,” King Michael revealed.
The singer explained that after successfully marrying off his daughter, he plans to organize his own wedding ceremony, making 2026 a particularly special year for his family.
King Michael could not hide his joy, boldly stating that he believes he will be the first Ugandan musician to give away their daughter in marriage.
“I will be the first musician who’s seeing off their daughter get married, who else do you know? I am much older than Ragga Dee and Willy Mukabya,” he said confidently.
Following the family celebrations, the singer disclosed that he will immediately shift focus to preparations for his concert slated for August. After the concert, he plans to take a holiday trip to Canada to unwind after what promises to be a busy and emotional season.
