TikToker Luwilight has maintained her innocence following her arrest, while also extending forgiveness to Zuena Kirema and Bebe Cool, the couple involved in her detention.
Luwilight, who has spent over a month on remand at Luzira Prison over alleged hate speech, addressed the controversy in a recent TikTok Live.
She denied claims that she had criticized Zuena’s cake business, stressing that she has been a loyal customer since 2023.
“From 2023, I have been celebrating my birthdays with cakes from her business, so there’s no way I could turn on someone who has never wronged me. She’s really innocent, so there’s no reason I could have abused her,” Luwilight explained.
She also addressed the individual behind a Facebook page that allegedly posted abusive content in her name, issuing a stern warning.
“Please stop doing bad things in people’s names and putting us in jeopardy. Even after causing too much damage, you’ve resumed posting unnecessary things. Your days are numbered,” she said.
Despite the ordeal, Luwilight emphasized forgiveness, making it clear that her dispute was not with Zuena or Bebe Cool personally, but with those spreading false claims online.
