Veteran Ugandan singer Madoxx Sematimba has finally addressed the growing conversation around his slow pace in releasing new music.

Madoxx, whose last major album was released in 2006, has remained active on stage over the years but has kept fans waiting for fresh projects. The long gap has sparked questions from music lovers eager to hear new material from the seasoned artist.
Speaking about the matter, Madoxx made it clear that music is still a central part of his life despite the perceived delay in new releases.
“Musically, music is always there as usual. We have grown up in music. We do music, and we are still doing music, and we shall continue to do it,” he said.
The singer emphasized that his passion for music has not faded, even if he is not constantly dropping new songs. According to him, fans can still enjoy his previous work as he prepares what’s next.
“Just because some people think I have delayed releasing new songs, they can still listen to those that are already there as we cook more and help others cook and learn how to cook music for the people,” Madoxx added.
He also revealed that he has a large catalog of unreleased songs but noted that other commitments are currently taking up his time.
“I have very many songs, but you have to understand that there are other things taking my attention that I do not want to disclose right now. There are other projects I am working on that also need attention and time,” he explained.
While he did not reveal details about the undisclosed projects, Madoxx’s remarks suggest that fans may eventually receive new music once his other ventures allow him the space to focus fully on recording and releasing.
