Media personality and events host MC Kats has revealed that singer Fille Mutoni has suffered a relapse in her recovery journey from drug abuse and was recently admitted to hospital in critical condition.

Kats shared worrying photos of Fille while she was receiving serious medical care, including being placed on oxygen, sparking concern among fans and fellow artists. According to MC Kats, the singer suffered a severe panic attack in the early hours of the morning, forcing family and close friends to rush her to hospital.

Speaking about the incident, Kats expressed frustration over what he described as a lack of support from the Uganda National Musicians Federation (UNMF).

He questioned claims that the federation receives funds meant to help struggling artists, saying he has never personally seen such support extended to those in need.

They say they get money to help artists, but I’ve never seen that money. At around 2am, if we didn’t have anything as family and friends, what would I have done with Fille who was on oxygen?” Kats said.

He explained that his emotional state at the time pushed him to make social media posts calling out the federation, but later chose to delete them, noting that he did not want to appear as though he was lamenting or seeking sympathy.

Fille got a panic attack and was admitted and put on oxygen. That frustration is what made me post, but I later deleted it,” he added.

Despite the setback, MC Kats remained hopeful about Fille’s recovery, assuring the public that she is receiving proper care and is expected to be okay.

She will be okay, God willing,” he said.

However, he did not hold back from making a final sharp remark, criticizing what he views as neglect of artists facing personal struggles.

Since they say they wanted to make a cemetery for artists, let them go ahead. Maybe that’s what they wish for the artists.”
