Singer Mikie Wine has fired back at Bebe Cool after the Gagamel boss claimed that only Dax Vibez is talented among the Ssentamu family. The remarks were made as Bebe Cool unveiled his much-talked-about Bebe Cool List of 2025, a move that sparked debate within Uganda’s music industry.
Mikie Wine, who is Dax Vibez’s elder brother and also the younger brother to National Unity Platform leader and musician Bobi Wine, did not take the comments lightly. He described Bebe Cool’s opinion as disrespectful and went on to label him “stupid” for undermining the rest of the family’s musical abilities.
“Everyone has a right to their own opinion. That’s how he sees me as not being talented, but that’s also how I see him as being stupid,” Mikie Wine said. He added that while opinions may differ, facts should always matter.
According to Mikie Wine, the true measure of talent lies with the people, not individual critics. He challenged anyone doubting his abilities to look at his body of work online.
“You only have to go to YouTube and see Mikie Wine’s songs and my performances. You see how people yearn when Mikie Wine gets on stage,” he said.
The singer further compared his achievements to Bebe Cool’s controversial statements over the years, claiming that the internet is filled with instances where the Gagamel boss has “sounded more stupid than smart.”
Mikie Wine concluded by saying that if receiving massive love from fans during performances and achieving milestones in his music career is considered being talentless, then he is ready to accept the label. “If that is what not having talent means, then Bebe Cool is right,” he remarked sarcastically.
