Mikie Wine has revealed that he has no idea where his brother, opposition leader Bobi Wine, is currently located, as security deployment around their family homes continues to raise concern.

Speaking out, Mikie alleged that soldiers have also been stationed at his residence, similar to the heavy military presence surrounding Bobi Wine’s home in Magere. He said the situation has left the family shaken and constantly on edge.

Mikie recounted how he attempted to go to Bobi Wine’s home on the night security forces allegedly raided the premises and assaulted Bobi’s wife, Barbie Kyagulanyi.

However, he says his efforts were blocked by a combined team of military and police officers before he could reach the house.

Visibly disturbed by what the family has gone through, Mikie said the events of that night were too painful to fully describe, especially considering the impact on Barbie and the children.

I don’t even want to talk about the bad things they did to her because it’s shameful, and how bad her children felt — and also Bobi Wine, wherever he is. Even us, we still feel sad about it,” Mikie said.

He further claimed that surveillance has been intensified around his home as well, alleging that a drone regularly monitors Bobi Wine’s residence before moving to his own, since the two homes are close to each other.

According to Mikie, the drone activity caused panic throughout the night, forcing the family to stay awake as it hovered near their compound.

We lost sleep last night. The drone was making noise near our shed, and when our askari tried to record it, the drone would fly upwards and switch off the lights,” he added.
