Former presidential candidate Hon. Mubarak Munyagwa, also known as Mugatti Gwa Bata, has responded to recent attacks from singer King Saha, saying he was only offering advice and not criticizing the artist.
“I don’t comment on artists because that’s not my field; I was simply advising King Saha,” Hon. Munyagwa said.
His remarks come after King Saha repeatedly attacked him verbally and reportedly called on supporters of the National Unity Platform (NUP) to do the same.
The disagreement has drawn attention on social media, with supporters from both sides sharing their views.
While some believe the politician was entitled to share his opinion, others have defended King Saha, saying artists should not be dragged into political debates.
Hon. Munyagwa maintained that his comments were misunderstood and insisted that he had no intention of interfering in the music industry.
He emphasized that his message was meant as guidance, not criticism.
The public exchange has since sparked wider discussion about the relationship between politics and the entertainment industry in Uganda.
