Wait, did Aziz Azion plagiarize Bebe Cool’s Love You Everyday music video? If you’re keen enough, and you have a photographic memory, you will come to a sudden, horrible too, realization that the fading RnB singer might have plagiarized Bebe Cool’s video. I watched it. And I sunk in my chair, hiding my face in shame. Why? Have we stooped this low? Did creativity go on a sabbatical?
The concept seems to be Love You Everyday’s doppelganger; similar. Aziz Azion’sYoono video was shot in a seemingly similar place like Bebe Cool’s. A deserted place with a fading glow of the sun, shrubs and rocks. Somewhere away from civilization, which seems to be a trendy thing to do now. Music videos shot in a desert or similar deserted-like places seem to have something unique peppered on them. And Yoono is not any different. It is a good piece of visual art, yes, but hell, no sooner had Bebe Cool released a heck of a good video than Aziz Azion showcased his. It is bogus, if you ask me; a tad silly and mirrors nothing but laziness with which the current crop of directors have.
In the Yoono video, a figure of a girl roams around, delicately; sashaying her wonderful body under the glow of the sun as Aziz Azion pours his heart out like water out of a tap. It is an alright piece. Only that it gives an impression that Aziz did the infamous copy-and-paste which plagues our already ailing music industry. Bebe Cool’s Love You Everyday, if you’re keener than a gynecologist, you would realize that there was a figure of a female specie bumming about the vicinity, trotting around and flaunting her gorgeous body, which is reflection of what is in Yoono music video. Music purists might say I am overstretching this, insinuating too, but between you and me know that Aziz Azion’s video looks like a stolen script. Good video, this one but, meh, stop the thievery.
