Musician Exodus revealed that there was a time when he was ashamed of being a gospel artiste. The “Igwe” singer revealed this during the Uganda Entertainment Awards last Friday where he revealed that people used to ridicule him for being a gospel artiste and he would feel bad.

He added that times have changed and now gospel artistes have swag, live better and drive very cool cars. He said;

“There was a time when gospel was a thing to be ashamed of in the main stream. Today Gospel music has swag, we live better, drive better. The sky is the limit. God Bless you, we love you.”

This was after he was invited to the stage by Best Gospel Artiste of the year, Levixone to say a word since the two consider themselves brothers. Levixone also thanked Exodus and other musicians for paving the way for him.

He said; “I want to thank God so much for this. Where is Julie Mutesasira. You know Gospel we are a family. I am so humbled for this. Levixone is inspired for everyone who came before me. I thank God for Wilson Bugembe, Exodus and Julie Mutesasira. Thank you so much.”

We will keep you posted.
