Police at Kira Road are investigating the murder of a 24-year-old woman who was allegedly robbed and strangled in her apartment in Kyanja, a Kampala suburb.
The deceased has been identified as Namulinde Diana, popularly known as Diana Skys, a businesswoman and TikTok content creator. She lived alone in an apartment located in Kwaata Zone, Kyanja Ward, Kawempe Division.
According to Kampala Metropolitan Deputy Police Spokesperson Luke Owoyesigyire, the incident is believed to have occurred on the night of February 3, 2026. Her body was discovered the following day after friends, who had unsuccessfully tried to reach her, went to her residence and found the apartment door open.
Police say Diana Skys was allegedly robbed and strangled during the attack.
On February 4, officers arrested a security guard attached to the premises after he was found in possession of items suspected to have been stolen. Some of the recovered items were later confirmed to belong to the deceased.
Homicide detectives, together with Scene of Crime Officers, visited the apartment, documented the scene, and recovered several exhibits. Police have also recorded statements from relevant witnesses as investigations continue.
So far, police have identified three suspects in connection with the murder, with two currently in custody to assist with ongoing investigations.
The body of the deceased was taken to KCCA Mulago City Mortuary for a postmortem examination as authorities work to establish the full circumstances surrounding her death.
