Rahmah Pinky has opened up about how her early success in the music industry pushed her to put her education on hold.

The songstress revealed that she had enrolled at university to pursue a Bachelor of Information Technology and completed two semesters before her music career took off.
According to Pinky, the sudden breakthrough she experienced after releasing her debut single Superstar changed everything.
“During that period, my songs were going viral, and every song I released was a hit and cut the audience. Then I decided to first pause education and go with the tide,” she said.
After Superstar officially introduced her to the music scene, she followed it up with songs like Picha, which were also well received. With her name quickly gaining traction and her fan base expanding, Pinky admits she was swept away by the excitement of fame and success.
However, she clarified that her decision to leave school was not entirely driven by music alone. She disclosed that she had qualified for the course she truly wanted, having passed both her principal and subsidiary subjects. But she was instead admitted to a different course that didn’t align with her passion.
“It was not what I wanted. I told myself I had the results to get the course I wanted because I had all my principal and subsidiary passes to do the course I loved, but they gave me what I didn’t like, and I refused it. My mind wasn’t widening because I was doing the same things I’d done before. Maybe if I went further, I would have gone deep with the course, but I didn’t give myself a chance,” she explained.
Beyond music and academics, Pinky also spoke about her confidence and belief in her voice. She said she feels naturally gifted when it comes to speaking and expressing herself, even joking that she could hold her own in a courtroom.
“I feel I have the favor to talk and have people listen. I feel like I can raise a point in the courtroom. I haven’t faced any form of injustices, and I don’t think I can allow myself to be in such a situation because I argue a lot,” she added.
