Faded singer Red Banton shocked many after he made a surprise performance at Kampala Mayor Erias Lukwago’s inaugural ceremony that took place at City Hall yesterday after Lukwago was finally sworn into office.
Red Banton who performed his old hit “Sijja kuva Kampala”, reminded us why the Lord Mayor has endured the embarrassment, frustration plus tear gas revealing that he had been inspired by his song.
Red Banton should thank Lukwago for inviting him to his inaugural ceremony because we wouldn’t have known that he is still a city dweller and singer.
