Ugandan socialite and former TV presenter Sheilah Gashumba has opened up about why she decided to stop working for television stations.

Speaking openly, Sheilah said the money paid to TV presenters is too little and does not make economic sense.
She also mentioned that many media houses do not want to discuss salary increases with their workers.

She went on to reveal that most TV presenters are struggling financially.
According to her, some cannot even afford the clothes they wear on screen and end up borrowing them just to appear presentable.
This is not the first time Sheilah has talked about the poor conditions faced by TV presenters. In 2020, she raised similar concerns, which sparked a lot of online discussion and controversy.
Sheilah Gashumba started her media career at a young age and worked with several major stations before stepping away from the industry.
