Former TV host Tuff B, who is now vying for the Makindye East Member of Parliament seat, has revealed that his exit from the screen was not a sudden decision but a plan he had set in motion over a decade ago.

Speaking about his journey, Tuff B shared that he had been in the media industry for 15 years, a career he deeply cherished and still misses.

Despite stepping away, he says he hasn’t completely abandoned media and is now channeling his passion into building his own podcast.

“It is a place where you feel so less. I miss it but I get a chance to do it in the voters,” he said, noting that his interactions with the public on the campaign trail give him a similar satisfaction to engaging with an audience on TV.

Tuff B admitted it was not easy to leave his show, but it was a decision he had committed to long ago. “I told my boss 15 years tops and I’ll quit. I told him this in 2014 and that was it,” he said.
