For years, Uncle Mo was known for his hilarious skits and videos on social media, but when it came to stand-up comedy, he stayed away. He shared that every time he posted, people would chime in with discouragement, insisting that if he ever tried stand-up, he would fail miserably.
November last year was when Uncle Mo decided to prove everyone wrong as he stepped onto the stage for his very first time in Nairobi. His performance was a hit, and the audience loved it, which impressed the event organisers.
“The organiser pulled me on the side, and he couldn’t hide his excitement. He said that each time he booked tiktokers, it usually ended in disaster, but I’d done so well.” Uncle Mo narrated.
“He even asked me to cancel my flight because he had another show for me to perform at the following day,” he added.
His journey has been quite fascinating since then as he recently had another successful sold-out show that was dubbed “Fix Your Life” held at The Nairobi Laugh Bar on January 30 and January 31
