Kampala Metropolitan Police commander CP Frank Mwesigwa has been dropped from the juicy Kampala City in a mini reshuffle by the police chief John Martin Okoth Ochola.

In a release issued by the national police commander Emilian Kayima, CP Mwesigwa has been moved to head the tourism police.

He has been replaced by Moses Kafeero Kabugo was the commander police senior command and staff college at Bwebajja.

Kayima dismissed reports that CP Mwesigwa has been dropped in his statement we have reproduced below;

The language of dropping is not appropriate. He has been assigned new roles. CP Frank Mwesigwa will now head the Tourism police, a key police department and is replaced by CP Moses Kafeero Kabugo who was heading our Police Senior Command and Staff College at Bwebajja. ACP Lawrence Nuwabiine replaces CP Moses Kafeero Kabugo. More details to come. We congratulate appointees and wish them well in their new assignments.
