Court has been forced to adjourn case in which Ssebuufu Muhammad and others are accused of murdering business woman Donah Betty Katushabe in cold blood.
Ssebuufu Muhammad the proprietor of Pine Car bond and 7 others are accused of murdering a city business woman Donah Betty Katushabe in October 2015, over a debt of Shs 9m after selling her a car.
Murdered Katushabe’s relatives at the High Court in Kampala
Ssebuufu and seven others were brought in to start defense into the murder case before Justice Ssenoga.
The city tycoon, however, took court by surprise when he refused to speak claiming that he is not ready.
Ssebuufu’s silence enraged Justice Ssenoga prompting her to stop the court session since she wanted him (A-1 main suspect) to start.
Following the stalemate, prosecution and defense retreated to the judge’s chambers and agreed to fix a date on which to start hearing the defence of the accused.
They agreed to return on the 4th, 5th and 6th of Dec 2018 which the Assistant Registrar Inspector of courts, Jamson Karemani has confirmed.
Prosecution presented over 20 witnesses and now waiting to hear from defence.
