The Uganda Young Democrats (UYD)have celebrated this Valentine’s day by showing solidarity to victims of torture, especially the oppositions leaders.
The youth, who were donned in red and green with red berets gathered at Democratic Party headquarters this morning.
They said many people have fallen victims citing an example of Lord Mayor Erias Lukwago who was brutally handled by security personnel at his home in Lubaga, Doreen Nyanjura, and Makerere University researcher Dr.Stella Nyanzi. They also lit candles and cut a cake thereafter taking to the streets
Ssembajwe Paul , a member of the UYD explained that they have discovered that Uganda Police and other security agencies want to torture their private parts to an extent of denying them chance to enjoy their marital benefits.
