The MP for Kasambya County Hon Mbwatekamwa Gaffa has promised to sponsor the biggest hit by 7 year old Patrick Ssenyonjo better known by his stage name; Fresh Kid . Mbwatekamwa made the pledge this afternoon while speaking to the media at Parliament.
Mbwatekamwa who expressed disappointment in State Minister for children and Youth Florence Nakiwala Kiyingi for condemning the minor’s success, emphasized that all Fresh kid only needs is support and guidance for him not to go astray.
He noted with concern that Nakiwala needs counseling too, which he is ready to help offer.
Ann Adeke Ebaju, the National Female Youth MP and Mwiine Mpaka Western youth representative equally condemned Minister Nakiwala for trying to kill Fresh kid’s blossoming career, saying that his music journey can shine alongside education and that all he needs to guidance on how he can balance the two. They ad that it is not a guarantee that getting educated leads to a bright future.
However, recently, Minister Nakiwala seemingly retracted her order for Fresh Kid to quit music and concentrate on books when she said she was ready to give him counseling. This was after a number of people on social media roasted her over the order.
