Positive news for Uganda as no new cases were registered in latest tests conducted by the ministry of health.

Uganda has 52 corona-virus cases to-date from 3160 samples tested. 657 are under quarantine while 855 contacts to the confirmed cases are being followed.

President Yoweri Museveni late Monday evening made an update from tests conducted by the ministry of health.

He used his social media accounts to announce the development.

Museveni posted: “Countrymen, Countrywomen and the Bazzukulu. Today, April 6th, 231 samples were tested for Covid-19.”

“A total of 119 samples were from those in quarantine and 112 were from the villages where the returnees had made contact. The good thing is that all were negative.”

Ministry of health has confirmed that all the 52 COVID19 cases are in stable condition at Mulago National Specialized Hospital, Entebbe Grade B Hospital, Adjumani and Hoima Hospitals.
