Comedian Patrick Idringi piopularly known as Patrick Salvado has faced the wrath of fans on social media after making a post routeing for the immediate return of celebrated local singer Edrisa Mussuza a.k.a Eddy Kenzo
Salvado’s online campaign to have the government repatriate Kenzo back home came after the singer made a post on Facebook crying out for financial help from the public.
In the post made yesterday afternoon soon after the president announced the extension of the lock down, Kenzo made it clear that he was selling off his car just to get money for up keep in Ivory coast

Soon after seeing his seemingly desperate post on social media, comedian Salvaldo rushed on his Facebook and made a post urging the govenemnt to bring Kenzo back home something that didn’t sit down well with most of his followers
”I can’t start telling my brother Eddy Kenzo to be strong coz I think I would have broken down by now, being away from friends and family, not knowing what next, under lockdown in a foreign country that’s registering new Covid-19 cases everyday, not sure of your money situation coz you are spending by the day yet not earning. Living in fear of contracting the virus and knowing you won’t be able to see your family, damn I just can’t imagine what he’s going through, and it’s with utter most disgust that there are some people making fun of him coz of what he’s said inregards having money, we can’t predict the future, sometimes what we plan can be over turned by the master planner God almighty, sometimes we say things during the heat of the moment but that shouldn’t give anyone the right to judge anyone based on what they say coz we all make mistakes.
It’s with utter most disappointment that people have made his situation a political one and are mocking him without THINKING, people who call themselves learned, I’m very disappointed right now.My brother Eddy, we are praying for you, I call upon Wanyama Balaam a brother is in despair, let’s be our brothers keeper” Salvado posted calling upongovernment to support Kenzo
However as soon the comedian routed for government to support Kenzo financially , many of his followers attacked him saying he should be routeing for all Ugandans abroad to return home instead of asking the government to support only person
”Naye you people r hypocrites banange,ugandans r in china,USA,UK,UAE where cases increase day by day.These same ugandans are not working as well yet spending.We need to value other people’s lives as well.If you are to cry out for help,just cry out for all because many r yearning to come back but hv no way out.This isn’t about politics but HUMANITY’‘ a one tyra blasted Salvado
As if that was not enough Jacky also added ”He is not the only one please,many people are stranded from abroad and they also have people to look after. Let him be where he is like other people.they also didn’t take their families and friends with them. Kino ekintu tukijemu akanjaja”
