President Yoweri Museveni imposed a lock down on the nation by closing Entebbe Airport.
Museveni went ahead to ban any form of transport within the country and crowded areas like markets, arcades, bars, clubs and restaurants.
However, he left cargo and trucks to continue to come in. The lion’s share of Uganda’s cases have come from nationals and others coming through Entebbe Airport and the borders.
The Tanzania truck driver joins a Kenyan one who tested positive after crossing the border at Malaba.
In his national address, President Museveni will consider imposing tougher measures at the borders especially on truck drivers.
