Tanzania is in deep trouble with the steadily rising Corona Virus numbers in the country.

The country Monday announced 84 new cases and 3 fatalities taking their tally to 254, 27 shy of Kenya’s 281.

Ummy Mwalimu, the country’s health minister Sunday night begged citizens to listen to the government’s proposed measures.

Mwalimu urged country men and women to wash hands with soap regularly, keep social distance and stay home.

However, the message appeared to have failed to yield results with the high numbers coming from the region’s biggest country.

Dar es Salam, the capital registered high 33 cases, Arusha 4, Mbeya 3, Kilimanjaro 3, Pwani 3, Tanga 3, Manyara 2, Tabora 1, Dodoma 3, Ruvuma 2, Morogoro 2, Lindi 1, Mara 1, Mwanza 3, Mtwara 1, Kagera 1 and Rukwa 2.

Zanzibar alone registered 23 cases according to minister Mwalimu.
