Controversial Facebook blogger Ashburg Kato has been trending on twitter for the better part of the day after coming out yesterday afternoon to denounce the people power movement.
The out spoken influencer knelt down on his knees and asked the president of Uganda to forgive him for all the years he has spent abusing him on social media shortly before announcing that he has joined the yellow bus.
Shocking as it felt for most of the people power supporters to see one of their own loyal sons cross over to Museveni’s camp a prophetic video of Bobi Wine made about a year ago should have given them something to think about.
As if fate was coincidentally revealing itself to the leadership of people power, about a year ago blogger Ashburg Kato appeared in the video of ‘Tuliyambala Engule’ one of Bobi Wine’s viral songs putting on a yellow beret perhaps foretelling that one day he might cross over to the NRM.
True to the signs of fate back then Ashburg Kato finally switched allegiance yesterday afternoon as some analysts kept wondering whether he was simply passing over the message in the said video
