National Resistance Movement NRM plot for 2021 elections is in high gear.
The party’s top top brass Central Executive Committee CEC has camped at State House in Entebbe.
The camp is headed by the party chairperson who is also the head of state President Yoweri Museveni.
President Museveni through the Party secretary general Kasule Lumumba proposed new names to champion the election cause at party secretariat.
Lumumba confirmed: “In the same of the insurance of the revised electoral road map for 2021 general elections by @UgandaEc, @KagutaMuseveni yesterday nominated some new office bearers at NRM secretariat.”
The names the party chief proposed to the CEC include; Jacquiline Kyetuheire as Deputy national treasurer, Mathias Kasamba as director mobilisation, Emmanuel Dombo director information and publicity and Medina Naham director finance and administration.
Who are Museveni’s choices?
Jacquiline Kyetuheire
Jacquiline is a former woman MP for Kanungu and is the director of St Teresa Girls College Calcutta in Kihiihi. Observer Newspaper quoted her as having ambition to contest again for Parliament. She said when asked: “It is the people to determine whom to vote for, but if requested, I will definitely offer myself.”
Emmanuel Dombo
Dombo, born in 1962, is a former MP for Bunyole County East. He decried the NRM primaries that saw him ousted in 2016. He comes into the party secretariat as a director information and publicity with 20 year experience in Parliament and electioneering.
Mathias Kasamba
The man proposed for mobilisation is a former MP Kakuto County and now a member of the East African Legislative Assembly. He comes into the party offices with agricultural background which is crucial to the party when mobilising for votes in the rural areas.
Medina Naham
The new Director Finance and Administration is the NRM chairperson of Koboko District.
