General Court Martial registrar, Maj John Bizimana, has said the army court will grant permission to former Inspector General of Police, Gen Edward Kale Kayihura, to attend his mother’s burial.

This request will be granted after they receive any request from Gen Kayihura or his legal team.

The deceased has been living in Kisoro district since the death of her husband, John Komuluyange Kalekezi, in the liberation struggle.

Mukarwamo is expected to be buried on Saturday.

Gen Kayihura is restricted from traveling beyond Wakiso District because of the on-going trial in army court in which he is battling three counts.

These offenses include aiding and abetting the kidnapping by the commission, repatriating Rwandan exile and refugees, and Ugandan citizens to Rwanda.

Bizimana has implored Kayihura to either visit the general court-martial or the Chief of Defence Forces-CDF
