New vision has announced its first case of COVID -19.

In a memo signed by the CEO Robert Kabushenga , the case is one of the staff working at the head office who tested positive over the weekend.

Kabushenga says the ministry of health is tracking all possible contacts to the victim to do further tests.

He adds that all those identified to have come into contact with the patient will be isolated for the mandatory 14 days under strict surveillance.

However, unlike other offices that have been recently closed off as a result of COVID-19 cases, vision group will remain open but under strict Standard operating procedures-Sops.

Among them include regularly disinfecting the office and observing the ministry of health guidelines for those that will be required to make appearances.

Last week the Ministry of Health closed down 3 offices in Kampala and sent their staff on a mandatory quarantine after staff tested positive for COVID-19 they include;4 people from Eagle holdings,3 from Toyota Kampala office and 4 from Megha Industries.

Kampala Minister Betty Amongi also revealed that two positive cases were recorded from separate shopping arcades in Kampala. They are Galiraya and Namaganda.

The Minister of Health Jane Aceng said last week that Kampala currently has the highest threat of COVID-19 infections because patients have unknown transmission lines which makes it harder to trace their contacts
