Wizkid was born on July 16, 1990 in Surulere, Lagos State, where he grew up and began his music career and for years, he struggled to break into the mainstream until he met music executive and singer, Banky W.
His rise to fame was engineered by Banky W’s label, EME records after they signed him and he became a household name shortly after he joined the label.
Wizkid parted ways amicably with EME records to establish his own record label, Starboy Records and his life now comparing to that of about ten years ago have not been the same.
