Loyalists and members of the Revival Church Kawaala have started gathering at the church to mourn the deceased Pastor Augustine Yiga alias Abizaayo.

This comes after the Kawaala based ABS Television confirmed the death of their Renown controversial City Pastor the founder of Revival Church Kawaala

ABS confirmed Yiga passed on at about midnight at Nsambya Hospital, where he had been admitted for a while now battling a liver complication.

“We have lost him, may God bless his soul. Rest in peace, Pastor Yiga Augustine Abizaayo,” reads a statement posted on ABS TV’s Official Facebook page.

Last week on Friday rumors of his death were loudly pronounced on social media platforms and by various media houses but were trashed as untrue by both his church and TV that affirmed he was alive.

The fuming Yiga loyalists asked the public to desist from spreading negativity prompting many media houses to take down their posts.

Now sources close say that mourners and members of Revival Church have started streaming to Yiga’s church to pay their last respect.

The majority of them are singing praises for the deceased as a leader who inspired them to be better people.

Five months back, Yiga was thrown into Jail for uttering false information and spreading harmful propaganda in relation to the deadly COVID-19.

Yiga openly told journalists on his television that there was no coronavirus in Africa since no death had been reported in any African country yet other countries had registered hundreds of deaths.

He was later released from prison on bail following his arrest.
