After roaring his readiness to create a significant impression on the people of Kasese on Wednesday with a rally of 200 people and blue tooth Speakers , Nobert Mao has failed to turn up.
“We already have a plan of how we shall carry out our campaigns while maintaining the Standard Operating Procedures. We shall employ Bluetooth speakers and make conference calls so that we reach a bigger audience at the same time,” Mao said.
“If a District has ten counties, we shall gather people in ten counties and have a Bluetooth speaker in every location. I will be speaking from one location but all the other people gathered in different places will be getting the message,” he added.
He added that the gatherings of up to 200 people were officially communicated by Health Minister Dr. Jane Ruth Aceng on Monday while further easing the lockdown.
Mao promised to arrive in Kasese at the break of dawn and start the business of campaigns
Mao was Tuesday speaking to party leaders in the Rwenzori sub-region, Kasese District.
Th same Leaders and supporters of the Democratic Party turned up in large numbers only to be left stranded after tMao failed to show up for his campaigns.
Mao was expected in the district on Wednesday afternoon. However, by 4:30 pm, Mao had not yet turned up.
The DP National Secretary for Women Bernadette Businge says that they are yet to establish why their candidate did not show up.
Efforts to get a comment from Mao were futile.
