Father Arrested For Promoting Incest
Krizestom Ssebuuma, a resident of Jjungwe village of Nalyankanja parish in Bulera Sub County was arrested after his 16-year old daughter refused to bonk her brother and reported the matter to police.
The teenager spent the night at the chairperson’s home pending the village committee meeting to decide Ssebuuma’s fate.
Saul Kabuuza, the area LC I Chairperson, says that the teenager approached him accusing her father of forcing her to sleep with her brother to appease the spirits for wealth, good health, and successful marriage.
Ssebuuma told police that he was told by the family spirits that his children needed to practice incest to remove a curse by one of their aunties bonked her own brother and had children.

He explained that as a result, a curse befell the family and his children have all failed to get married hence the need to appease the spirits.
Ssebuuma however succeeded at compelling his two elder daughters into sex with their brother as instructed by the spirits.
Edward Katende, the Officer in charge of Bulera police station ordered the arrest of Ssebuuma and directed the village chairperson to hunt for his son.
Section 149 (1) of the penal code act outlaws sexual relationships between blood relatives. Anybody found guilty of incest is liable to seven year’s imprisonment and if the other person is below 18-years-of age, the convict is liable to life imprisonment.
According to the same law, it is immaterial whether the other person consented to the sex or not.
